CustomStocks ("the App") is developed by CustomApps. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

Data Storage

All user data - including portfolios, positions, transactions, watchlists, learning progress, and settings - is stored locally on your device only. We do not operate user accounts, cloud storage, or data sync services.

If you delete the app, all your data is permanently removed.

Data We Collect

The App uses privacy-respecting, anonymous analytics to understand how features are used and to improve the product. This data is associated only with a random, device-generated identifier - never your name, email, or a personal account. We do not collect:

• Your name, email, or personal information
• Portfolio values, positions, holdings, or individual trade details
• Financial account information of any kind

Analytics

The App uses PostHog to collect anonymous, aggregated product analytics - such as which features are used, subscription and paywall interactions, and app diagnostics - tied only to a random device identifier. It never includes your name, contact details, or the contents of your portfolio.

Subscriptions

If you purchase a subscription, Apple (on iPhone and iPad) or Google (on Android), together with RevenueCat, process the transaction. RevenueCat receives your subscription status and an anonymous device-scoped identifier so the App can unlock paid features and restore purchases. Payment details are handled entirely by Apple or Google and are never seen by the App or by us.

Stock Market Data

The App fetches real-time stock data from Finnhub and Twelve Data. These requests are made directly from your device and do not pass through our servers.

Third-Party Services

• Finnhub - Real-time stock market data (quotes, profiles, fundamentals)
• Twelve Data - Chart and historical price data (candles, sparklines)
• Supabase - Read-only content delivery (stock list, learning articles)
• PostHog - Anonymous product analytics and diagnostics, tied only to a random device identifier
• RevenueCat - Subscription management. Registers an anonymous device-scoped customer ID and receives your subscription/purchase status to unlock and restore paid features.
• Apple App Store - Processes subscription payments. Payment information is handled by Apple under Apple's own Privacy Policy.
• Google Play - Processes subscription payments on Android. Payment information is handled by Google under Google's own Privacy Policy.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date above.
